Terms of Service

These terms cover how sydneybudogu.com works, from browsing to checkout to pickup and delivery. By using this site or placing an order, you're agreeing to them. If anything's unclear, message us before you order.

1. Who we are

Sydney Budogu ("we", "us", "our") [FILL IN: confirm trading name / legal entity, and ABN if registered] operates sydneybudogu.com. We design and produce our own kendo gear and sell it directly to customers, mostly in the Sydney area and across Australia.

2. Using this site

You need to be able to form a legally binding contract to place an order — if you're under 18, order with a parent or guardian. Don't use the site for anything unlawful, don't try to interfere with how it runs (scraping, overloading, bypassing security), and don't use it to impersonate someone else or submit false information at checkout.

3. Products, pricing & availability

  • All prices are in AUD and include GST where applicable. We try to keep prices and product information accurate, but if something's listed wrong (a typo, an outdated price, an out-of-date photo) we'll contact you before processing the order, and you can choose to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
  • Some items are in stock and ship immediately; others — mainly bogu — are made to order and shipped to us from our supplier by sea or air freight, with the ETA confirmed before you pay. See our Return Policy for exactly how cancellations, refunds and delivery timeframes work for each.
  • We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue a product, or refuse an order — for example if we suspect fraud, a pricing error, or a stock issue we can't resolve. If we cancel an order you've already paid for, you'll get a full refund.

4. Payment

Payment is processed through secure third-party payment providers at checkout. We don't see or store your full card details — that's handled entirely by the payment processor. For made-to-order items, payment is taken up front to confirm your order and place it with our supplier; see the Return Policy for what happens if you need to cancel after that.

5. Shipping & pickup

In-stock orders placed before 12pm Sydney time ship the same day. We deliver locally around Sydney, further afield across NSW and interstate via courier/AusPost, and offer collect by appointment for local customers — often arranged around training sessions. Delivery estimates are just that — estimates — and we're not liable for delays caused by the courier or freight provider once an order has left us.

6. Returns, refunds & cancellations

Full details — including the sea/air freight cancellation windows for made-to-order bogu, our 14-day return window for in-stock items, and how we handle faulty or wrong items — are set out in our Return Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Site content & intellectual property

The text, photos, logos and design on this site belong to us or our licensors. You're welcome to share links to our products, but please don't copy our photos, product descriptions or branding for your own use without asking first.

8. Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party sites (payment providers, socials, shipping carriers). We're not responsible for their content or policies — check their own terms before you use them.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or our products. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't lawfully be excluded — those rights always apply on top of everything above.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — for example as our product range or fulfilment process changes. The version on this page is always the current one, and it applies to any order placed after it's updated.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
