Red Dragonfly (紅蜻) is a muted crimson leather — a more sophisticated alternative to brighter reds. Three delicately placed dragonflies add just enough character without overwhelming the design, for a look that's graceful, distinctive and timeless.
The samurai symbolism
- Kachi-mushi (勝虫), the "victory insect". The dragonfly was known historically by this name and deeply revered by samurai.
- No retreat. A dragonfly only flies forward, never backward — a symbol of absolute determination, fearlessness, and moving forward in combat without hesitation.
- Sharp focus. Its predatory agility and sharp vision represent the mental clarity, mushin (無心), needed in a kendo match.
